On Thursday, the Reception classes spent the morning at the East Greenwich Fire Station training up to become fire fighters! They practised getting a fire fighter’s outfit on very quickly. As part of our topic, People Who Help Us, the children in Nursery and Reception spent a week learning all about lollipop people and road safety. We were also lucky enough to have Lollipop Lady Sharon visit us and tell us all about her very important job!

This week the Reception classes took a trip to the Little Angel theatre in Islington to watch ‘The Night Before Christmas’, a magical story told through puppetry of the adventures of a young girl with Father Christmas and some naughty reindeer! The children were impeccably well behaved and all had lots of fun!

On Tuesday, the Reception classes took a trip to Blackheath Cooks as part of their week on healthy eating. The children took great care to chop, peel, and grate the ingredients for pitta pizzas! They all made delicious pizzas with toppings such as olives, peppers, and corn!
