Class 5B 2014

On Tuesday 5th May, Year 5 left their uniforms at home, opting instead for their finest Tudor outfits. The school has been celebrating a record breaking set of results in recent entrance exams for the Year 6 students. An amazing 25 scholarships were offered to the 34 pupils aged 10-11. Some achieved multiple awards in what has been heralded as an unprecedented level of success for the school. On Tuesday 6th December Year 5 and 6 had a lovely afternoon singing carols for residents at Morden College. Following an introduction by Olivia White, the children sang a great selection of both traditional and new Christmas songs, with solos sung by Phoebe Keely Thomas, Sam Woodhams and Zaylie Ahluwalia. On Monday 10th November, ancient Greece descended on Year 5! Amazing costumes filled the classrooms and the arty Greeks created wonderful and elaborate vases. We learnt about some famous ancient Greek myths, and feasted like gods and goddesses on a range of lovely Greek delicacies. A fun-filled day for all!
