Pupils from Year 5 and 6 held an impromptu Easter Concert at Morden College in Blackheath recently. The elderly residents, were treated to a feast of singing, with the songs selected reflecting this important time of year in the Christian calendar. As part of our celebration of World Book Day, the award winning author, Helen Dennis, visited the school and delivered workshops to years 3-6. The children were captivated by her lively and interactive presentation and were inspired by her book series and passion for writing. The pupils left with signed copies of her books as well as plenty of enthusiasm for writing their own adventure stories.

Congratulations to Mark & Tania Hodges, Caroline & Simon Frankau and Tara & Zachary Veitch, winners of the 2017 school quiz. They narrowly beat a team of Pointers staff into second place with a winning score of 55. Both Early Years and the Main School got to enjoy Pancake Day thanks to the PFG, their frying pans and spatulas! The PFG has been launched by a group of parents from the school to raise funds to enhance the existing playgrounds.  Pancake Day was their first fund-raising event which went very well. Thanks to all the parents for their support.

On Friday 30th September the year 6 netball team had a tough first match arranged against Blackheath High, who have been playing for a few consecutive years now. The game was a very exciting battle with both Pointers and Blackheath showing great energy and enthusiasm throughout.
