The artistic side of Year 6G has been on display recently. The class has excelled in creating a series of cardioids, and other amazing 2D pictures, as part of recent Maths lessons. This requires excellent compass work and an eye for colour. Similar designs can be seen in Art work around the world and carefully combines the joined up worlds of both Mathematics and Art.

Edvard Munch’s Scream has been the subject of endless intrigue as well as artistic debate. There can be little doubt of its iconic status whether in its original form in Norway or in poster form on the walls of many students’ dormitories. Year 6G has been working on a whole series of Book Reviews during the opening weeks of the Spring Term. Not only does this help them to understand the current literature they are reading, it also helps them with their interviews for prospective secondary schools. Questions about the current books they are reading are favourites among head teacher interviewers.
