The Early Years’ School Council recently held a fundraising drive to adopt animals at London Zoo. After a successful event, the children officially adopted an elephant and a giraffe. The school council then decided to run a competition for children to name the animals. Each class had a suggestion box and the school council met to choose their favourites. Year 2 had a brilliant afternoon complete their First Aid Training with BETA. They learnt how to deal with a nose bleed, minor injuries, how to get help in an emergency and how to put someone in the recovery position. The Pointer School competed in the Zonal Qualifying competition for the English Primary Schools Championships at Eltham College on Saturday 2nd February.
