Year one had a fantastic visit from Nicky, and her beautiful companion, Wyn, a Black Labrador trained by The Guide Dogs Association. Nicky is partially sighted and after years of struggle, decided  to get a Guide Dog to help her with day to day tasks and to keep her safe along roads, also helping her maintain her independence. The children were entranced hearing about all that Wyn does, and how The Guide Dog Association provide support and training for the dogs, teaching them how to help their owners with their needs. Owner and dog are paired up and work together to achieve daily tasks. The children listened intently and were very interested, enjoying finding out more through their brilliant questions.
