The Pointer School Year 6 netball team recently visited Blackheath High for their first netball fixture of the year.

There was some excellent netball on show by the girls, who could not have started the game any better, scoring after about 20 seconds! The girls showed that all their hard work in training last term had paid off as their passing and movement was superb. Our shooting was the stand out point of the game, with the girls able to score at a lot of the opportunities that we were creating, especially Emily D who scored 10 goals in total. Over the two games the girls did not let in a single goal showing that the team’s defensive work was also very impressive.

We played two games against Blackheath High: in the first game The Pointer School won 10-0 and in the second game we won 8-0. On the whole, this was a superb all round team performance. Every team member can be very proud of their performance and how they represented the school. I am sure the girls will take this success into their fixtures for the rest of this term and can hopefully continue with the winning ways.
