We had a fantastic day at the V and A Museum of Childhood and the children were a real credit to the school. It is a wonderful museum that fits in perfectly with our History topic ‘Toys in the Past’. The children were able to look around the museum at the various toys from the past and present. There were board games to play with, rocking horses and many other activities to support their learning. The children loved the hour-long workshop ‘Toys on a Timeline’ in which they had the opportunity to play with toys that their grandparents and parents would have played with in their childhoods. A lovely, fun, educational day out – well done Year 1 for being such superstars on the trip!
