On Friday 9th November, Year 4 travelled to the Design Museum by train to view one of their current exhibitions. ‘Designed to Win’ was a fascinating exhibition where the children were able to see the ways in which design and sport are combined. After the excitement of London 2012, it was a fantastic opportunity to see all the amazing technology that went into achieving the victories and top records. We were able to observe and read everything from the design of Formula 1 cars to running shoes, and racing bikes to carbon fibre javelins.

We also had just enough time to see ‘Digital Crystal’ which included a display of fifteen beautiful and unique installations, all made using crystals. We ate our packed lunch by the river close to Tower Bridge, and then raced back to school in time for our afternoon Swimming session. A super day had by all!
