The Pointer School is a thriving co-educational school for boys and girls aged 3-11 with an outstanding reputation for delivering a traditional yet exciting education within a Christian framework. In October 2014 the Independent Schools Inspectorate found Pointers to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas.

Key Stage One and Two have had the opportunity to enter a school-wide Art competition inspired by the Trafalgar Square Fourth Plinth competition. There were so many amazing entries we had to set up an art gallery to show them all off! Well done to all the competitors. Mr Higgins will be announcing the winning entries in Assembly this week – stay tuned to hear which entry won!  

The Pointers’ Quiz Club team has powered through to the semi-final of a National General Knowledge competition. Answering questions ranging from astronomy to physics and American civil rights leaders, they pulled off their best ever result in this annual competition. Year 3 recently visited the British Museum to explore the Egyptian collection. They had fun tallying hieroglyphics on ancient statues, spotting animal mummies and learning about the disgusting process of mummification!  

Join us during February half-term term for super science week! Holiday club runs from Monday 12th – Friday 16th February 2018 and is open from 8am to 6pm. Our little scientists will have the opportunity to explore and experiment over the course of the week through a variety of fun and age-appropriate scientific activities. On Saturday 3 February the Pointer’s Chess Team took First Place in the English Primary School Chess Association’s very popular National Primary School Chess Championship at Eltham College.  Our Pointer’s elite chess team this year included Pointer’s chess team captain Evan, Stakhey, Shreyas, Max and Axel.
