The Pointer School is a thriving co-educational school for boys and girls aged 3-11 with an outstanding reputation for delivering a traditional yet exciting education within a Christian framework. In October 2014 the Independent Schools Inspectorate found Pointers to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas.

On Wednesday, as part of their unit Once Upon a Time, the Reception classes visited the Discover Centre. They took part in a storytelling workshop based on the books by Judith Kerr. The children got to explore the world of Mog and The Tiger Who Comes to Tea before having a play in the outdoor playground. It was a brilliant trip!

The school has resolved the issues with our previous uniform supplier and our new school uniform shop is now open. Year 2 finished our topic on explorers, Pole to Pole, by visiting the Maritime Museum. We played games on the Great Map, explored artefacts from around the world, compared Polar explorers’ outfits, and looked at portraits and models of Captain Cook and his ship, The Endeavour.  

We were very lucky to have  Embrace Psychology  in to lead our latest parent workshop. Demand was so high that we had to have two events! The Pointer School competed in the Zonal Qualifying competition for the English Primary Schools Championships at Eltham College on Saturday 2nd February. On Friday 25th January our Year 3&4 girls travelled to King’s Rochester for a netball tournament with 8 other schools. For some of our girls, this was the first netball tournament that they had participated in, so the level of excitement was high.
