‘Tis the season to be jolly and The Pointer School Children have been spreading Christmas cheer this festive season around Blackheath.

Last weekend, the school choir took part in two exciting community events – the St John’s Church ‘Live Nativity’ on Saturday and the Community Carol Service on Sunday. The children sang ‘O Holy Night’ outside Blackheath Standard library at the ‘Live Nativity’, standing alongside a real donkey! Following this, they sang a selection of songs, including a Christmas medley, at the Carol Service the next day.

This week the children bounded across the heath to Morden College where they sang carols to the residents and brought some Christmas cheer to the elderly by writing cards and enjoying a good natter over a biscuit and some juice and tea!

Today is the month’s crowning glory as we end the school term with a Carol concert for parents. The Children have worked incredibly hard and it is a delight to be able to end on such a sweet note!

Merry Christmas to you all. We hope you have a blessed time with family and friends and a wonderful new year!
